On March 14, 2024, Wilt, the Los Angeles based, grunge-inspired quintet took the stage at Mohawk as part of SXSW. Their set started with a warm hello from lead vocalist Chealsea Rifkin followed by their powerful 2023 single “The Riff” which is highlighted by the heavy guitars of Aaron Liebman and Andrew Perrea. The band followed up with “Moved Along”, another single. A rocking “You’re the One to Blame” started a run of a few unreleased songs off of Wilt’s upcoming E.P.. By the time the band’s debut single “Gwen” came up the room had become full and a good thing that was. After a long buildup “Gwen” rocks you with fills from drummer Dan Bermudez while Rifkin belts intensely but softly. Wilt closed out their show with another rocking unreleased track to a now packed Mohawk.
