So the Daily Texan just compiled their Top 40 Albums of 2007 (which I know you guys are just dying to read and criticize). It was quite an interesting meeting, there was much heated debate about Radiohead. Anyway I figured I would share my personal top 10 of this year.

You guys should totally tune in to 104.1 KRBE tonight at 10:15 to listen to the New Music Face-Off because Thee Armada, a band who is signed to my boyfriend Alex's label Foundation Recordings is going to be featured on it. The New Music Face-Off puts two new songs against each other and asks listeners to vote for which one they like best. Thee Armada's song, "Rock, Shock and Load" has won three nights in a row. They beat Fall Out Boy and Timbaland last night, and the first night they were on they beat Britney Spears's new song, which had been the previous winner six nights in a row.

So my boyfriend recently started his own record label called Foundation Recordings in Houston. He signed his first band already, a little Houston band called Thee Armada that's already getting radio play on 104.1 KRBE in Houston. (Already not KVRX material, DAMN)

So if you or anyone you know is in a bad ass band and is looking to get signed, you should check it.

So, I saw Kimya Dawson on Monday. It was a pretty amazing experience. My boyfriend was in town for the weekend but was flying out Monday before the show and so we were both pretty bummed about missing it because I mean, I love Kimya, and he loves Kimya, but we love Kimya more together, you know?
