As many of you may have noticed by the sports guys' takeover of this blog this week, there is some sort of basketball tournament going on right now. Yes, Texas plays tonight. Hopefully the games tonight can be as exciting as yesterday.

We had UCLA beating Western Kentucky. Expected. Look for the Bruins to cakewalk into the Final Four.

Bump music for today's Friday Hangover was provided by Denver's former trio Bright Channel. BC was formed by Jeff and Shannon from late-90s space rock outfit Volplane on the Flight Approved label. They added drummer Brian Banks and the new band was formed in 2002. With Bright Channel they kept some of the space themes and layered on a thicker, more distorted sound.

Gail Goestenkors has finished her first season at UT. For her, it was Gail Goestenkors-Light. So what does an early tournament exit mean for the coach who is one of the best in her sport and enjoyed tremendous tournament success in her previous 13 years at Duke?

First of all, it's a hell of a start for a Texas program that missed the NCAAs the past two years. Let's remember those teams had Tiffany Jackson, a Texas hall-of-famer to be sure. Once Coach G can recruit her players to play her style of ball, the Horns will be in better shape than they already are.

The Houston Astros made their biggest offseason move since Roger Clemens went from "no" to "maybe" about 12 years in a row. Miguel Tejada, most famously from the Oakland teams of the early 2000s, was traded from Baltimore this morning in a multi-player deal.

Houston gets: SS Miguel Tejada

Baltimore gets: OF Luke Scott, 3B Michael Costanzo and pitchers Dennis Safarte, Matt Albers and Troy Patton
