The American League has been full of surprises too.

They always say, "It's still early in the season." But one can't be impressed by some of the surprises in the standings this baseball season. There's a full surprise per division.
NL West- San Diego Padres: 10-17, last place

Baseball GM's- Krivsky and Who's Next

Recently, the Cincinnati Reds fired general manager Wayne Krivsky, in favor of former St. Louis Cardinals GM Walt Jocketty. From the standpoint of a fan neutral to the Reds, I have always been critical of the job that Krivsky did with the Reds. He made a great move in acquiring pitcher Bronson Arroyo (though I'm a big fan of Wily Mo Pena). But he committed one of, in my opinion, the worse in-season trades in baseball history when he traded SS Felipe Lopez and OF Austin Kearns for a couple of relief pitchers who are now in the minor leagues.

Hottest up and coming guitarist in Austin!

For those of you searching for the next Hendrix, the search is over! His name is Carson Brock, 14 years old, and he is the prodigal son of guitar. He comes from a strong musical background. His father, Kyle Brock, played bass for Austin guitar legend Eric Johnson in their 1970's jazz fusion band, the Electromagnets, and on his platinum album, Ah Via Musicom (featuring Cliffs of Dover). Likewise, Carson's sound and style are very reminiscent of Eric Johnson. His other influences include Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Jeff Beck.
