Last month, Edward Wittlif, producer of TSTV's Capital Cine Forum by day, 8-Bit encyclopedia by night, guest DJ-ed a full two hours of non-stop 8-bit music. The reception was incredible, so Thursday at 7pm, we're bringing him back to the KVRX airwaves.

This week on The Marcus and Tayo Show (Wed. nights/Thurs. mornings 3-5 am), we were lucky enough to have hip hop artist Drastik stop by the studio for an interview, fresh off of opening for J. Cole's Texas Tour. We also got into some tracks from his "30 songs in 30 days" Daily Download project and Drastik provided some insight into his recording process as well as a new project that he's currently working on. 1. It's KVRX's longest running radio show. It's been around since 1996. Back then, Clinton was still president, Power Rangers was the greatest thing ever, and the Nintendo 64 was a close second.
2. We'll give you up-to-date details of when your favorite acts will appear on Local Live. Once we get someone for a future Local Live, you will know about it.
3. MP3s and videos of select performances are released regularly. And they're pretty sweet.

On Wednesday, February 3rd, KVRX will co-sponsor a relief benefit at the Mohawk in order to raise funds to send to Haiti in the wake of their tragedy.

On Tuesday, January 12, Haiti suffered 7.0 magnitude earthquake that left their country in ruins. About 3 million people have been affected in Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

In order to do our part, KVRX will be joining forces with The Mohawk and several local bands to raise funds for the destitute in Haiti.
