October 6-8th, 2007: The Greatest Sports Nightmare I EVER HAD!

Submitted by Will-P on Mon, 10/08/2007 - 22:47.

New York Yankees lose the ALDS, Torre is gone
The Buffalo Sabres start off the season 0-2
UT loses to OU in the Red River Rivalry, 28-21
Reagan loses to Madison, 42-14 (sorry, I somewhat care about my old high school)

And finally, the big effin' cherry on the poisonous cocktail of sports futility.

The Buffalo Bills, a team that I loved since birth, loses to Dallas Cowboys, a team that I've been raised to hate.

Not just loses, but loses in a fashion all too familiar to Bills fans such as myself. A game that is conveniently ours for three quarters, and then everything comes tumbling down, usually culminating to a single play that will once again enforce the fact that Buffalo is the most cursed city in America, sports-wise.

If you didn't know that I hate the Dallas Cowboys with a passion, then we haven't hung out as much. I hate the Cowboys like Red Sox fans hate the Yankees.

I am worried for my family. My dad's family to be precise. They witnessed the four Super Bowl losses, the Norwood miss, "No Goal" from the 2000 Stanley Cup Finals, the Music City "Miracle". I don't know how much more they can take.

If you have ever thought your entire sports world is falling apart right before your eyes, leave a comment. I need advice about how to cope.

Definetely worth your time, because you gotta know what happens when a bunch of Boos surround a Yoshi egg inside of Princess Peach.
