So. I'm going to let everyone in on a secret: I've actually never written a blog before. Gasp!! I know, I know, everyone and their mom has a blog these days, but when it comes to technology wizmos and gizmos, I tend to be a Luddite. So, in this first blog, I'll just present some sort of thesis statement for blogs to come.

Hello. My name is Art, and I am a DJ at KVRX 91.7 FM Austin. Listen to my show. Also, check out my music, because I like to shamelessly peddle my craft (www.myspace.com/auditoryvelcrosociety).

I'll eventually put up interesting videos, CD reviews, hot new bandz, and links to historical facts you may fancy, but for the time being, here is the music I have listened to nonstop lately, as it will give ya'll a sampling of my taste(at least for now):

1. "Graceland"-Paul Simon
2. "This Time Tomorrow"-The Kinks
3. "Is Anybody Going To San Antone?"-The Texas Tornadoes
4. "Heart It Races"-Dr. Dog
5. "Staring At The Sun"-TV On The Radio
6. "Blue Velvet"-Bobby Vinton
7. "Sexx Laws"-Beck
8. "Let Down" (Radiohead cover)-Toots & The Maytals
9. "When I Paint My Masterpiece"-The Band
10. "Hate It Here"-Wilco

Adios.

Art and Emily, I have a

Art and Emily,

I have a state to do next week. North Carolina. The peidmont blues came about along with strong blue grass. Mr. John Coltrane was born in N.C.- you know what that guy did. Take care,
