9/28: Loud Rock Party

Submitted by StephanieB on Sat, 09/29/2007 - 16:53.

Brian and Willie of the Loud Rock Department (recently instated) threw a raucous party last night with live music by Katalepsis and Mammoth Grinder. DJ Polaris was also spinning some wussy indie rock and it didn't really make sense.

Check out Brian B's blog for photos. I wanted to take some myself, but I was afraid my camera might get broken. You'll also notice that I am not in any of these photos, but it is probably because I was busy being trampled in the mosh pit. I lost my glasses during Mammoth Grinder's first song, but luckily recovered them before they got too horribly deformed. Mammoth Grinder was awesome, and this is coming from an indie-pop lovin' tweester.

It was a weird crowd: high school kids (?) complaining that there was no Sparks, a mohawked couple licking eachother's tongues and a bunch of punk kids doing keg stands in the back yard.

Things wound down around 1 AM when the entire APD showed up, but I had a good time. Thank you KVRX Loud Rock Department for a night of... loud rock.
