Dear Buffalo: We own you. Love, Dallas.

How bout them Cowboys, getting it done on Monday Night Football? Despite Tony Romo's 5 interceptions, fumble, and general poor play through 3 quarters, the cocky gunslinger still gave his team a chance to win against Buffalo. To recap, down 24-16, Dallas scored a touchdown with 22 seconds left, missed a 2-point conversion, kicked a successful onside kick, then T.O. made a ridiculous catch, only to have it overturned after they had already run another play. A quick pass toward the sideline set up rookie kicker Nick Folk for the game winning field goal...which he nailed from 53 yards...twice.

Everything went Buffalo's way in this game: They returned two interceptions and a kickoff for touchdowns, broke up the 2-point conversion that looked to sink the Cowboys' chances, and called the timeout within a split-second of the ball being snapped on the last play of the game.

But the Cowboys still won. Advantage: Dallas

Which reminds me of 1993 and 1994. Dallas dominated Buffalo in the Super Bowl two years in a row, making it four straight Super Bowl losses for the Bills. The Cowboys subsequently became the team of the 90s. Advantage: Dallas

And if Buffalo fans don't hate Dallas enough for that, think about 1999. The Stars and the Sabres were in game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals in Buffalo, Dallas leading the series 3 games to 2, when Brett Hull scored the infamous goal from just outside the crease to end the series in triple-overtime (about 3:15 AM in New York), and fuel a sports hatred for years to come. There are still signs in the city of Buffalo 8 years later that read, "No goal." Advantage: Dallas

The game Monday reminded me of a game in September 2003 between the Cowboys and Giants (on Monday night, nonetheless), when Giants kicker Matt Bryant kicked what appeared to be a game winning field goal with 11 seconds left. Then, on the kickoff, he squibbed it out of bounds. Quincy Carter threw a strike to Antonio Bryant for 26 yards, setting up Billy Cundiff for the game tying 52-yard field goal at the end of regulation. Dallas went on to win quickly in overtime.

Two football games the Cowboys shouldn't have won, in prime time, against New York teams, in New York. Definately a game I'll remember for a long, long time.
