So Saturday night while just about every white kid in town that casually likes hiphop was at the Aesop Rock show at Emos Me and my friends were on the inside of Emos seeing some great grind bands. There were 6 bands 2 of which were from Texas, Crotch on Fire and Hatred Surge. The show was really intense and overall grrrrreat. Hatred Surge was my favorite band of the night. For those of you that didnt know this already Hatred Surge is one of the best bands in Texas right now and is completely created by Alex Hughs formerly of The Machine Gun Romantics. So everyone out there if you like good music check out Hatred Surge, I will be playing the Hatred Surge side of their split with Insect Warfare next week 11/29 on Depleted Resource.
