Tonight on the Soul Revue I will be featuring a totally insane interview with Bay Area soul legend Darondo!!! For those not hip to the magic that is Darondo, he cut three killer 45s in the early 70s, spent the rest of the decade rolling down Bay Area boulevards in his custom Rolls Royce (he's rumored to have worked as a pimp, though he somewhat cryptically denies this in our interview), was the star of late 70s and early 80s local cable TV shows like "Darondo's Playboy Penthouse After Dark" and "Tapper the Rabbit" (a kids' show where our hero donned a bunny costume) and then fell off the face of the earth. Darondo is back and he's playing SXSW Saturday night at Club De Ville, only his third show in the last 30 years. Trust me when I say you don't want to miss this interview! I'll also feature music from other SXSW soul artists. Tune in tonight from 10-11pm!!!
