everything about Crystal Castles annoys me. that girl's god awful screeching, her ugly haircut. they put PICTURES OF SPIDERS in their myspace profile and it SCARED THE CRAP out of me. I forgot about the first time and it just happened again. damn you Crystal Castles!
Dude, that reminds me of a Kids in the Hall sketch, where a man writes a "horror novel" titled: Look, There's A Spider On Your Back! and everyone freaks out when they read the one sentence in the book that says, "Look, there's a spider on your back!"

By the way, I read pitchfork, too. Especially at 2:50 am when I'm bored as hell. So I went to this Trevor Brown guy's blog, and the things he said about Crystal Castles are absolutely ridiculous. Threads, in particular.
An awesome band called Double Dagger once said "Good art borrows, great art steals"
Basically, that Madonna picture was pretty cool, but it pales in comparison to Crystal Castles' new album.
[in my opinion...that album is fucking gold, pure fucking gold...air war kills]
Still, bad idea to steal someone's art unless you know them or they are dead.
I've found that many people totally love or totally hate CC. I don't know many people who just say, "eh," when they hear the album.
As a person who totally loves CC, I have to say this:
I love anything that makes me want to kick open the doors of my high school smoking a joint, wearing nothing but a bath towel and a rifle. Is that just me?

i personally think CC is ok. shit, its dance music. its kinda punky. they wear leather jackets. they knew DFA 1979. they're canadian. alright. that said, i know jack shit about electro music, so like, ummm, there could very well be a band out there that totally makes music and art in a better more scrupulous than CC, but I would have no way of knowing.
thats funny jon, i dont see that image as so tasteless. its skeezy is that its tawdry, but the image itself doesnt bother me. the artist's "weiner head babies with cuts" scuptures, thats gross and dumb.
