Esau Mwamwaya is a dude who I think deserves a lot more buzz than he's getting. He blends some sick beats with some great melodic vocal harmonies (along with some other afro pop stuff that is SO hot right now). I've heard some blogger types refer to him as the African Phil Collins, which I think I only halfway get. I'm sure that after he releases his soundtrack to the African Brother Bear movie I'll understand though. He's currently finishing up his first full length LP which will be out soon.
