Fiona Brice is a composer/orchestral arranger that makes pleasant, string-heavy music. The booklet for this album suggests that each trak attempts to capture the general mood of a city. Although I haven't been to most of these cities, each track does a good job on standing out on its own. They each make use of a violin, a cello, and (sometimes) a piano in a different way, but what brings the album together is the general sense of melancholy. I recommend this album for late-night listening.
