The Dan Deacon show at Bowery Ballroom on Wednesday was pretty wild. The first half of the show was so much fun, but around the mid-way point I turned around and noticed that my backpack was completely opened up and someone had stolen Chris' shirt out of it. Luckily I had my valuables on my person. Minutes later, while trying to readjust, I dropped my camera (as seen in the video posted in Tim's blog) and busted the screen. I was pretty pissed at New York in that moment and left the dance floor.

So you probably already know about how we saw Q-Tip and talked to Andrew W.K. and everyone's now seen my awesome dance moves, but oh so much has happened since then. That night we also ate cheap pizza, made a friend named Lloyd from North Carolina, and saw a lady poop on the train. It was an eventful evening.

Music Director Chris Wigington & I are in some crazy basement in Brooklyn right now, after our first day and night of representing KVRX at the CMJ 2007 Music Marathon!

Highlights so far:
1. Waking up at 4AM to catch our 6 o'clock plane. Beautiful, cloudy views of North Texas lights from the sky.
2. Visiting Tom's Restaurant (of Seinfeld fame).
3. Picking up badges and gift bags (free energy drinks, anyone?) from CMJ headquarters in SoHo. Getting advertised at non-stop.
