Allow me to introduce Sound Advice Volume II. This digital compilation just came out at AustinSound.net. It's a sonic overview of the Austin indie music scene, what a simply brilliant idea. Notably, the Dark Water Hyman track was recorded live at KVRX for Local Live. The compilation is downloadable here free of charge.

A Faulty Chromosome. A Google search yields nothing more than their MySpace, assorted blog entries, and some KVRX playlists. They're not even on Wikipedia. Who are these guys? They list bands like The Pastels, My Bloody Valentine and Magnetic Fields among their influences, which are apparent in their shoegazey sounds that embrace elements of twee pop and experimental music, as well.
