Mother Momentum

Every Tuesday from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

One early morning I was watching the sunrise at Mount Bonnell, Lake Austin stretching out before my eyes. As the sun illuminated the shimmering water 700 feet below me, my ears were met with what sounded like a peculiar phrase repeated over and over: "Shout to all my lost boys, sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-shouts to all my lost boys we rowdy" Instantly I recognized this strange assemblage of words as none other than Skrillex's 2011 dubstep hit: Bangerang.

On closer inspection, this sound emanated from a speed boat that was lugging a wake surfer in tow. I watched as this wake surfer fell constantly into Lake Austin for the whole duration of the song. 'A sorry sight he is,' I thought to myself on that cool, clear morning.

After what seemed like an eternity, Bangerang faded into a popular Kendrick song. Powerful and grandiloquent, the song revived the wake surfer's confidence and demeanor, seemingly turning the man into a wake boarding freak of nature. I was in disbelief as the man unlocked his true form before my very own eyes, a Demigod, a true son of Poseidon. Its incredible how the right song can make all the difference.

In my show, I aim to pair the perfect music with the adrenaline inducing activities that increase your momentum. From skiing, to rollerblading, to zooming in your car, I have the perfect indie songs just for you. Please join me every Tuesday night at 10 PM as we celebrate the joy that is (Mass x Velocity x Good ass tunes.)
