Hailing all the way from Ireland, Andrew Byrne-Hozier blessed us with his presence on the American Express stage during a beautiful Texas golden hour.

Now between the angelic voice, lighting, and luscious hair, this is how I imagine it feels like when people say you can feel the holy spirit ‘within you.' (In honor of comparing The Lumineers and Noah Kahan to religion, what is one more metaphor!) This was not Hozier’s first Rodeo (or ACL), as he stated many times about the great memories he has at this festival. As he hasn’t been back since 2018, he came back so much better, and after looking at the crowd much bigger.

Hozier recently released a new album Unreal Unearth in August 2023. He brought a few songs from that while also giving us a sprinkle of every album within his discography, closing out the show with his hit song Take Me To Church.

The pit of thousands was completely captivated and mesmerized by his presence. Even before he physically went to the barricades and connected with fans physically, he had everyone hooked emotionally by the first note of De Selby (Part 2).

What a truly stunning voice, his mic was ON! The range, the talent, the lyricism, truly a raw performance.

Seeing an artist I fell in love with at 15 live for MY JOB was such a full circle moment. I truly cannot put into words the life-changing performance I witnessed at the American Express stage that day, but this will do.Go lay in a field and listen to every single Hozier note and word that has ever left his mouth and admire the beauty of it. You will genuinely be moved to tears.

One of my favorite ACL performances by one of my favorite artists, thank you for the never-ending goosebumps Hozier.
