On March 11th, 2024, Water Damage performed at ACL Live at The Moody Theater. Eight members took their places on stage quickly, three of which sat at drum sets. The three began playing a relatively simple beat, sans-cymbals in unison.
As the wall of sound from the rest of the band faded up, feedback screamed from the amps as the guitarists waved their guitars around and let their open strings ring out. The band eventually found their way into a droning groove, the hum continued as each string-playing member would fade into the top of the mix for a few minutes at a time. The band continued for twenty-five to thirty minutes before the drums abruptly cut out and the guitars all began to fade. The controlled feedback was all that remained as the band quietly left the stage.
