J'cuuzi
J’cuuzi, formed by vocalist Gorge Bones and her partner/instrumentalist Trey Razeldazl in February last year, are my favorite post-industrial, post-punk, post-set dressing act I saw at this year's SXSW. With their massive deconstructed performances, featuring a disco ball hanging from Razeldazl’s keyboard, synchronized movement and choreo, and a spinning chair at the center of it all, J’cuuzi’s stage presence is overwhelming. Gorge, of course, captures her audience like no other. Her sometimes peppy, sometimes enchanting vocals bring together the chaos of each performance effortlessly. This band is going places, and needless to say, they are well worth listening to. – DJ IV Drip
