While I agree that Songs of Leonard Cohen is an absolute masterpiece and about as perfect as an album can get, I have a real soft spot for Leonard Cohen’s Death of Ladies’ Man. Despite receiving horrible reviews and generally being considered Cohen’s worst album, I maintain that Death of a Ladies’ Man is actually some of his best work. If you don’t believe me, give the tracks “Paper-Thin Hotel” and “Iodine” a listen and tell me they are not magnificent!
