How did you first hear about or get involved with KVRX?
My sophomore year, a friend texted me out of the blue and thought I would be interested in going to DJ training. I didn't even know UT had a radio station, but I jumped at the chance to get involved!
What shows have you had on KVRX?
The May Queen - freeform (Spring 2020) Sadly, I only got to have one May Queen show before COVID started and campus shut down. BUT the show was very special because I played my favorite women artists on International Women's Day.
Capri Sun - freeform (Fall 2020 - Fall 2021) The absolute best part of my week for the past year. An eclectic show with a different theme every week.
What is your favorite KVRX memory?
My first show in the booth this semester!! Most of my shows with KVRX were produced remotely, and it was so surreal to host a live show. I was very nervous, but finally felt like I was fully experiencing what it's like to be in KVRX.
Tell us about your final playlist!
My final playlist is a musical diary of my college experience. Essentially the soundtrack to my transition into adulthood. Songs that make me laugh, cry, dance, and sing. These songs have helped me through the best, worst, and craziest times of my life so far.
