How did you hear about KVRX?
My ex-boyfriend used to DJ his freshmen year and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
What kind of music do you play on your show and what is its overall theme?
I play mostly neo-soul, indie r&b, alternative hip-hop, jazzy electronic stuff, spiritual - that kind of energy. The purpose of my show is to think about the lessons we are learning, and how we can shape them to make us better people. It is music by healing people for those to hear something they didn't even know they needed to hear.
What is your favorite part of being a DJ?
I love how it allows me to explore smaller underground or underappreciated artists. There is always new music, so you're constantly in the IN of your favorite musical niche. It's cool to know how everything and everyone is so connected. The world is smaller and bigger (yes, at the same time) than we think.
Who are your favorite artists and what are your favorite albums?
Nascent - Munis The Bullshit Life Is Great, probably Album of the Year for me. I love Doja Cat ALWAYS will be a stan Emmavie is so cool and so is Romderful. Peyton is a Houston gem and so is Fat Tony. Liv.e is on god so f***ing timeless. Dirty Bird is the futURE, lit rally. Kari Faux is an ICON, legendary. Shout out to Amaarae, The Angel You Don't Know was the perfect album. There are so many people that inspire me like The Kount and Kaelin Ellis. Nai Palm and Nao will always have a space in my heart. Thank you River Tiber for making music that speaks to my soul.
