Where do I begin with this album? It is a work of art.
Yves Tumor is an artist like no other, making you feel every emotion possible. Safe in the Hands of Love is about letting go and starting over, finding hope and searching for freedom through the suffering of it all. This album features a couple of artists like Croatian Amor on the second track and James K on track five.
Each track, although noisy, has a special groove to it with dissonant beautiful melodies engulfing your body, each telling a different chapter of the story.
The lyrics are simple and poetic:
“You look so different / You love somebody else / It hurts so much / Knowing that I couldn’t help / Remove the part of me / Inside my own living hell” – from “Recognizing the Enemy, track nine.
Yves is one of the realest artists in our time. If you haven’t heard of him until now, I recommend also checking out his earlier works.
Recommended: “Licking an Orchid,” “Noid,” honestly all of them
