the Radio Killed* the Corrido!

Every Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The advent of the radio effectively killed the longform, traditional corrido. Okay. . .  "kill" is a hyperbole. The creation of the radio (as well as commercial 7-12" LPs) did shorten the traditional corrido, however, it pushed the genre to a wider audience and its contemporary iteration(s) is one of the most popular genres of music today. Join me in listening to longform corridos along with other longform music that isn't given as much love on the airwaves as they should, Cheers!
