Parquet Courts at Parish by DJ CHAOTIC GOOD

On Tuesday, April 23rd, Parish hosted an amazing and, might I add, FREE show with Parquet Courts, Pearl Earl, and Otis the Destroyer. Much to my disappointment, I missed the two opening performances. However, I have seen Pearl Earl a few times and they’re amazing! Anyway, the show was great.

I arrived right as Parquet Courts came on stage. We wiggled our way to the front as the band performed the opening track of their most recent album, “Total Football”. Many small mosh pits formed instantly. Before the first song was over, the crowd had picked up a barricade and sent it crowd surfing toward the back of the venue. It was insane. Many fans also got this treatment throughout the show.

The band went on to perform about 20 songs, ending the show with a very long guitar ensemble. The energy in the room stayed high throughout the entire set. Parquet Courts brought out one of the most energetic crowds I have witnessed, and I’m glad I got to be a part of it.
