What initiated your love of sports?
The first game I remember watching was the 2006 World Cup Finals between Italy and France. I distinctly remember Zinedine Zidane headbutting an Italian player and getting a red card. The game went to penalties and I was buzzing with energy after every goal or save. I fell in love with soccer after that and played all the way through high school. Before the pandemic, I loved IM soccer season and would love to join a league at some point when the world is open again.
How did you first hear about or get involved with KVRX?
A guy named Jeffrey Ha kept plugging his show during one of my org meetings freshman year. I checked it out and it was some ~weird~ music.
What is your first KVRX memory?
After getting DJ trained, my cohost, Adam, and I hung out in the station's library for a few hours just listening to all the CDs in the rap section. We found stuff by ASAP Rocky, Freddie Gibbs, and the Black Pumas. I really miss that space and I’m excited to explore the library again next year.

How has KVRX affected your interaction with sports?
My relationship with sports has changed drastically since joining KVRX. I've become a superfan of the NBA and college hoops, looking at each game from an analyst perspective, taking notes and watching for tiny details that can tell me about a player's development or how good a team really is. More than anything, KVRX has enabled me to talk to other people who love sports as much as I do. Whether it is a player or a media member, I've learned so much about the sports landscape through interviews and off-record conversations.
What’s up outside of KVRX?
I'm planning on going to graduate school and becoming an architect. I've gotten really into photography while making my application portfolio; I love messing around on photoshop and taking pictures of cool buildings and changing them up a bit. I would love to host an architecture show/podcast at some point.
What is your favorite part of KVRX?
I've met some great people and made great friends through it. Playing music really loud in the booth was awesome.
What advice would you give to new dj’s?
Don't take the station for granted!
